Hearing loss in Fijian Teenagers
If you are aged 13 to 21 and identify as being Fijian (indigenous Fijian, Indo-Fijian, Rotuman, etc) or part-Fijian and live in Auckland, please take part in my study about hearing loss.
Please let your friends/family know if they are eligible and might be interested in taking part!
The study involves a one-off 30 min session at the Tamaki Campus, University of Auckland. It will involve a quick hearing test, measurements of the middle ear status, and examination of the ears. You will also need to fill out a short questionnaire regarding your hearing, ethnicity, and noise exposure. You will be reimbursed for your travel and time with a petrol voucher. Please contact me if you would like any more information.
What is required from the participant?
This involves a one-off 30 min testing session, including a free hearing test and answering a short questionnaire. Testing will be done at the Tamaki Campus of the University of Auckland, or if you have 6 or more friends/family members also participating, we may be able to travel to you.
