Healthy Volunteer Study for males comparing a new drug for Rheumatoid Arthritis with the existing drug Humira

To be considered for a screen appointment you would need to fit the following entry criteria:

· Fit and healthy male aged 18-55yrs

· BMI must be between 18-29 (i.e. of average weight for your height)

· No significant diseases or allergies

· No medication leading up to or during the trial (including herbal and some vitamin supplements).

· No casual/recreational drug use (a full drug screen will be done at the screen visit)

· No participation in another investigational drug or device study within three months.


What is required from the participant?

Reimbursement of this study is $2600 less tax and it involves a 2 night inpatient stay plus 20 outpatient appointments over an 11wk period

I'm not 100% sure about my BMI. How do I check it out?

Please go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmi-m.htm and enter your height and weight and it will automatically calculate it. Alternatively please call me on 0800 STUDIES ext 127 and I will calculate it for you.

I dont actually know my height and weight. Is there somewhere I can get these measurements?

If you are roughly average weight for your height you will be fine but if you are unsure please go to a pharmacy or doctor. Please call me on 0800 STUDIES ext 127 to discuss further
