Cholesterol Lowering Trial

You may be eligible if you are a man, aged 35 to 65yrs, currently taking statin medication for high cholesterol and a non smoker.

Are you a man, aged 35 – 65 years?

You are invited to take part in a study at Christchurch Hospital looking at a new cholesterol medication that may help prevent heart disease.

What is required from the participant?

2 half hour visits and 2 1 and a half hour visits to our clinic at chch hospital. over a 4 month period, receiving either simvastatin or combined simvastatin and ezetimibe during the trial. Cardiovascular health will be assessed.

Lipid and Diabetes Research Group - Condition specific
Age: 35 - 65
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Any
Criteria: - A man, aged between 35 and 65 years without diabetes
- Currently taking statin medication for high cholesterol
- Non-smoker
