Along with the standard hearing test you will do another automated hearing test using a computer keyboard, then watch a movie for 45 minutes while some sounds are played into your ear (you need to do nothing but relax) and finally a short 10 minute interview.
What is required from the participant?
You will receive a $30 petrol voucher and a free hearing test. The entire study will take 2 hours of your time.
In your life you have worked in a very loud job for at least 5 years. For example manufacturing, construction, mining, forestry, factory work etc. A loud job is one where the levels of noise at work were so loud you would need to shout to communicate with someone.

You have not worked in any jobs that exposed you loud noise.
