Getparticipants.com is an internet based portal that connects participants and researchers. We have two clear objectives:
Jude Mannion - DirectorJude has spent 20 years in corporate life with a varied career that has included Managing Director for Kellogg’s and as Regional Director across 14 Asia Pacific markets for Elizabeth Arden. Eight years ago, Jude left corporate life to establish the Robin Hood Foundation – a conduit for creating great social initiatives, and a means of enabling businesses to engage and assist in the social sector. Since then, Jude has been instrumental in launching over 30 successful social initiatives, and in 2007 was named New Zealand Marketer of the Year. Jude is currently CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation and Robinhood Asia (Consulting), in demand as a speaker and consultant in Asia and abroad, and remains at the forefront of both local and internal CSR innovation. In referencing her background and her involvement with getparticipants.com, Jude comments: “I see this project as having the social potential to advance New Zealand's already good research track record, being a viable business, and raising awareness of the many charities funding research”.Jamie Mannion MSc - General ManagerJamie is a passionate researcher and pragmatic practitioner. Having gained his MSc in Exercise Rehabilitation, Jamie has given lectures and presented at national conferences within his chosen field. Jamie continues to be involved in numerous research projects and contributes to research articles. It was during Jamie's experiences of recruiting participants for his Masters that the idea of Getparticipants.com was created. Currently he supervises masters researchers, provides a contracted exercise rehabilitation service, and invests the rest of his time into running Getparticipants.Markus Melloh MD MPH - Director of ResearchMarkus is a fully-trained orthopaedic surgeon and rheumatologist with more than ten years’ working experience in the operating theatre, originally trained at the Humboldt University and the Free University Berlin, Germany. In 2003 he completed his Medical Research Doctorate in Sports Medicine at the Charité / Humboldt University Berlin on the “Variability of Physiological Values During Constant Prolonged Workloads”. After his doctorate Markus was head of an interdisciplinary pain clinic before taking up a position as Post-doctoral Research Fellow of the Spine Society of Europe and being appointed International Coordinator of the Spine Tango Spine Registry at the MEM Research Center, University of Berne, Switzerland. The implementation of a registry in close collaboration with a multitude of low back pain specialists has given him a broad and profound insight into the range of spinal pathologies and treatments. Thanks to his formal training as Master of Public Health at the Swiss School of Public Health, University of Zurich focussing on “Prognostic Factors of Low Back Pain” in 2007, Markus is familiar with the principles of medical epidemiology, statistics, study designs and project management. In 2011, Markus submitted his PhD Thesis on “Predicting the Transition from Acute to Persistent Low Back Pain” at the University of Otago, New Zealand and completed his Diploma in Business Administration at the Edinburgh School of Business, UK where he continues his studies towards a Specialist MBA in Strategic Planning. Until recently, Markus acted as Program Director for Spine Research at the Centre for Musculoskeletal Outcomes Research (CMOR) within the University of Otago. Currently, he holds the position as Research Associate Professor at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), University of Western Australia.Jacqui Dillon - Marketing ConsultantJacqui’s corporate background includes marketing and sales leadership roles with Telecom Directories, American global Hallmark, and General Management within the L’Oreal Group. Since leaving corporate life, Jacqui has completed a Masters in Health Science, is Creative Director of Robinhood Asia, and continues to consult on numerous marketing and consumer engagement strategies and programmes.Media links |
